Meet Jinaé

My path to becoming a massage therapist was not a straight line, but rather a journey of finding my own grounding. Having moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2022, I found a deep sense of home here, surrounded by the water, the trees, and the expansive skies of this region. My commitment to healing is deeply personal. I have walked my own path of overcoming trauma and grief, which has given me an intuitive understanding of how much the body holds onto the stories of our past. I believe that massage is not just physical manipulation; it is a way to create a safe, neutral space for the nervous system to let go.

Why "Rooted Moon"?
Rooted Moon is a reflection of my own nature. As a Cancer Sun and Scorpio Moon, I am deeply connected to the ebb and flow of the tides, the mysteries of the inner world, and the necessity of being firmly anchored. I wanted a name that embodied the duality of being deeply grounded in the physical body while being attuned to the intuitive, lunar side of the human experience.

Life Beyond the Studio
When I’m not at the table, you can usually find me near the water—there is something about the way it moves that keeps me centered. I am also a lifelong learner, and you will often find me with my nose in a book—whether I am deep-diving into the latest advancements in massage and Craniosacral techniques, or exploring the archetypes of astrology and Tarot.
My constant companion is my dog, Nina (affectionately known as "Tiny"), who is the unofficial mascot of my life.
I am also a proud mother to a transgender child. Supporting the LGBTQ+ community is not just a value I hold; it is a fundamental part of who I am. My studio is a sanctuary for everyone, and I am committed to providing an inclusive, affirming, and safe space for all bodies and identities.

My Approach to Bodywork

At Rooted Moon Wellness LLC, my massage style is intentionally grounded in a holistic and trauma-informed framework. While I specialize in quiet, slow, and stationary modalities—such as Craniosacral Therapy—that prioritize nervous system regulation, I also incorporate targeted techniques like Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Neuromuscular Massage Therapy, and Myofascial Release when they align with your body’s needs.

My approach is collaborative; even when working with deeper modalities, I slow down to listen to the body, asking for consent and feedback to ensure the work is appropriate for your system before easing into deeper layers. With two years of practice and training from both the East West College of the Healing Arts and the Insight Craniosacral Institute, my sessions are designed to support your body’s natural ability to heal and restore balance in a safe, sanctuary-like environment.

Why "Rooted Moon"?

The name Rooted Moon reflects the philosophy behind my practice: healing begins when we are both grounded and connected. Like the steady roots of a tree and the gentle rhythms of the moon, I believe wellness comes from balancing strength with softness, stability with intuition, and thoughtful therapeutic care with deep restoration.

Beyond the Treatment Room

When I'm not working with clients, you'll often find me exploring the Pacific Northwest, spending time near the water, tending to my plants, or continuing my education in massage therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, and holistic wellness. I believe that learning is a lifelong practice, allowing me to continually refine my skills and better support those in my care.

I also believe every person deserves to feel welcome, respected, and safe. Rooted Moon Wellness is an inclusive, affirming space where people of all backgrounds, identities, and bodies are honored with compassion, dignity, and care.

Let's create space for your body to heal naturally.
